“Cash for Caulkers” Rebate Program

The Obama Administration is considering a rebate program for homeowners who invest in improving the energy-efficiency of their homes – such as insulation, window replacement, and even simple things such as re-caulking. Doors and skylights may also become part of the program. Not only is this a big step in improving the country’s energy efficiency, but also it will bring a much needed boost to the Lumber & Building Materials industry, creating new jobs and increasing business in the process.

The National Lumber and Building Materials Dealers Association has provided a handy link for you to be able to send an e-mail message to your senators and representatives to push the “Cash for Caulkers” program. You can help to further this great cause here.

Great idea having a link to contact senators and representatives. I think everyone in the home improvement industry hopes this program gets passed. It will be a big boost to contractors and suppliers!
