Custom Stairs Designed and Built by National Millwork

Did you know that National Lumber has a division specializing in custom stairs? National Millwork, a division of National Lumber, can build every type of staircase you can imagine, commercial or residential, straight, curved or spiral, interior or exterior. A major benefit of our shop-built method to the building process is that the installation of the shop-built staircase only interrupts the job site for a couple of hours. In addition, shop-built staircases are made to the exact specifications of that building. This superior method of construction produces staircases that stay tight, and we provide a 5-year warranty.

Custom Curved Stairs Delivery

delivered by crane, and guided into place for installation.

The staircase shown above was installed at the Brownstone Renovation on Beacon St in Boston’s Back Bay. Working with the city of Boston, a permit was issued to deliver these stairs via crane through an opening in the rooftop. This four story staircase was delivered and installed the same day.  Our stair specialists, working with the Boston Building department and the contractor, had the designs and specifications approved prior to production.

All shop-built stairs are manufactured in our state-of-the-art workshop under climate controlled conditions. Our expert craftsmen provide precision in production and beauty in the finished product. National Millwork Clearance Sales

National Millwork’s Clearance Sales website just went live today! This website was created to keep you up-to-date on our special clearance items. Several dozen windows and doors are already listed and ready to be sold at greatly discounted prices, up to 50% off!

These items are stocked our store at 245 Oakland St, Mansfield, MA (map). Prices are based on in-store pickup (delivery is extra). Our store hours are Monday-Friday 6:30am to 5:00pm and Saturday from 8am-3pm.

The Customer’s View Motivates Us to Take Action
First in a series

The Challenge
It was mid-afternoon on a Wednesday when a potential National Millwork customer called their National Lumber representative for six windows that are not stocked items.  In the customer’s view this was a critical situation—they needed those six windows quickly.

The Solution
At approximately 3:00pm Wednesday, National Lumber sales representative Paul Esposito called National Millwork requesting that six non-stock vinyl windows be delivered as quickly as possible to a customer in the Worcester market.

A typical window order requires a one week lead time going through the normal ordering process with our manufacturing partner, United Window & Door.  However, this situation called for stepping outside of the typical ordering process to provide a higher level of customer service.
